Students who attend St Mary's Institite do not need to attend the faith formation classes.
The 2023-2024 Faith Formation program will begin:
Grades 1 - 6
on Sunday September 24th and Monday September 25th
Grades 7 - High School
on Sunday, October 1st.Registration deadline: Friday, September 8 th
Registration formClass Locations: Classes will be held at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel on St. John Street, the St. Stanislaus Center on Cornell Street and high school youth will meet at St. Mary’s Church. Students from each local parish are welcome to register for any one of the class locations.
Class Times:
Grades 1 thru 6 may attend Sunday morning classes weekly at 8:45am Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. Or
Grades 1 thru 6 may attend Monday evening classes weekly at 6:00pm at the St. Stanislaus Center Or
Grades 7, 8, may attend Sunday classes twice a month at 8:45am in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. Or
Prep year & Confirmation Candidates may attend Sunday classes twice a month at 9am in the St. Mary’s Church
All classes are one hour in length
*Full calendars for the year will be handed out at the first class.
Program Registration: Parents/ guardians are asked to update/correct/ fill in any missing or wrong information when registrations are mailed in August. New students should complete a blank registration form and Registration forms can be mailed to

Registration Fee: Registration fee per child will be $50. For two children $95; and for three or more children $130.00. Checks should be payable to: Amsterdam Area Faith Formation. If payment is made after September 8th there is a $5 late fee charged per child. *Payment is waived for volunteers in the Faith Formation Program. Please mark at the bottom of your registration: Volunteer. Additionally, parents are encouraged to discuss with the Faith Formation Coordinator any special circumstances regarding financial concerns if they would like assistance in paying the registration fee.
